ML Introduction to Computer Science & Coding (Individual Objective Event)

 

Overview

Introduction to Computer Science & Coding recognizes those FBLA-Middle Level students who are utilizing computers with high levels of skill.

 

Objective Test Competencies: Computational Thinking and Probelm Solving; Algorithms and Programs; Logical Reasoning; Basic Coding; Manipulating and Analyzing Data Using Digital Tools; Robotics.

 

Eligibility

Each Middle Level chapter may enter members who are on record in the FBLA-PBL Online Membership System as having paid dues by the officially published deadline for the current school year.

 

Guidelines

No materials may be brought to the testing site, Electronic devices must be turned off and out of sight, and No calculators may be brought into the testing site; calculators will be provided.

 

Regional Conference Procedure

A 30 minute online or manual objective test will be administered based on the event competencies.  

 

Chapters may enter an unlimited amount of members in this event.  Top three  (3) winners are recognized at each Regional Conference.

 

State Conference Procedure

A 45 minute manual objective test will be administered based on the event competencies.  This test will be conducted at State Leadership Conference in accordance with FBLA Arizona policy.  

 

Chapters may enter an unlimited amount of members in this event.  Top three (3) winners are recognized at the State Leadership Conference.  Winners do not move on to the National Leadership Conference in Middle Level Events.
