More about Miguel
Miguel Cancio, a rising senior at Yuma High School in Yuma, Arizona is extremely honored and blessed to serve you, the members of FBLA Arizona in this exciting anticipated upcoming year. Miguel joined FBLA as an eager sophomore ready to take initiative in the success of his future. Being a member of FBLA has given him opportunities to gain deeper knowledge of the many different aspects of business, network with the amazing members of FBLA all throughout the state, and enhance his leadership and public speaking skills. Being an active member in his chapter and at the state level has given him a new level of confidence that he didn’t know he could unlock. Placing at regionals and qualifying for nationals at state his first year in FBLA truly showed him the potential he had in FBLA if he just stuck to it and continued with an open mindset. After his first year in FBLA and attending all the conferences, he decided he wanted to level up his leadership and help guide and lead his local chapter by running for chapter secretary. Serving as chapter secretary has given him opportunities such as being the face of his chapter in his community, creating more community service opportunities, and bettering his chapters involvement in FBLA in their local communities, and at the state level. Outside of FBLA you can catch Miguel at the gym or Dutch Bro’s or being a Varsity athlete in Cheerleading, Track and field, and Cross Country. Miguel strongly believes in being involved in whatever interests you, as it’ll better your experience in high school, as you only get one shot at being a high schooler. Miguel is involved in multiple clubs, holding multiple leadership positions. These clubs consist of FBLA, Student Council, National Honor Society, Class of 2025, Yellow Ribbon, AVID, and Key Club. Thanks to FBLA, Miguel now has a profound understanding of what he wants to pursue after high school, which is Business! After high school, he hopes to attend Grand Canyon University to pursue a bachelors degree in Business Management and Administration. His senior year of high school, he will hopefully be graduating with his license in Real Estate and Personal Training. With a degree in Business Management and Administration, he would like to own real estate agencies and fitness centers, which are hobbies and passions he is interested in that he will not only continue pursuing, but have franchises that he himself owns. Miguel is eager and grateful to be serving the members of FBLA, while also helping members unlock new qualities and characteristics within themselves that will benefit their future endeavors. Whenever you see Miguel at a conference or event, be sure to snap a .5 with him as he loves pictures!
